Go Ahead, Get Creative
In the words of my good friend Arnold Schwarzenegger when asked if he visualized himself as a living sculpture;
"Yes, definitely. Good bodybuilders have the same mind when it comes to sculpting, than a sculptor has"
Now stop trying to read that with an Arnold accent and go get sweaty!

Feel the Fear, Do It Anyway
A couple of days ago I shared a link on my Remarkable Fitness Facebook page of an inspirational YouTube video.
“Nice plug big guy. Very subtle, barely even noticed it actually”
... Shut up and learn something Beavis!
ANYWAY, the video was about Arnold’s 6 “Rules” of success. Now I realize that 2011 wasn’t exactly Arnold’s year, but love him or hate him, his level of success cannot be debated. Sure, he’s humped a couple of “things” along the way but no matter what way you look at it, he came to the United States an immigrant and has since built a legacy that will last forever.
If you can manage to get through the accent you’ll notice one of the first things Arnold says one must do in order to be successful is to dig deep down and find out what makes you happy! He makes it seem so simple: just do what makes you happy!
“Yeah, right! I wish it was that simple”
Well, what makes it so complicated? Better yet, what make this attribute so difficult for mankind to obtain?
“I donno dude, I don’t think Oprah has touched on that one yet”
Of course not. Well, I can tell you: FEAR!
It’s the fear of the unknown that ultimately prevents us from our happiness.
“So by that logic, the Remarkable Fitness’ Key to Happiness is doing what makes you happy?”
Close. I think the key to happiness is succeeding by doing what makes you genuinely happy (as long as it is ethical, we don’t need any more serial killers in this world).
“What a crock! What if picking my nose makes me happy, huh? What advice would you give in order for me to become a successful nose picker?”
Well first I would offer you some hand sanitizer. Then, I would tell you to find a way to make yourself known as The Booger Hunter.
“A booger hunter... really?”
Not just any booger hunter – THE Booger Hunter! Who’s to say that you couldn’t get a reality show (or something) out of doing what makes you happy? If Flava Flav can do it, so can you! The sad part is you won’t even try! Do you know why?
“Because it’s stupid?”
No, because you’re afraid that it won’t work out. That it will fail and your hidden passion for nose picking will have been exposed for nothing!
All you have to do in order to reap the benefits of true happiness is to discover your passion; feel the fear of failure, but do it anyway! It’s that fear of failure that is preventing you from your own happiness. Only when you learn how to harbor your fear, and test your abilities, will you be able to experience genuine happiness.
So in the words of my good friend Bobby McFerrin:
“Don’t Worry, Be Happy”

What I'm Listening To
Well it's here! We're officially a week and a half into the new year and can't help but notice a few new faces in the gym. I'm loving everyone's enthusiasm and I cannot wait until you guys get to where you want to be!!
Whether you are new to exercising or hold multiple years of experience under your [very sweaty] workout belt; NOTHING gets the people going better then a fresh new list of songs to listen to during your workout.
With this in mind, I thought I would be nice and help you guys out. According to my ipod, the following list is my "most played" songs that I listen to while I'm at the gym:
David Guetta ft. Snoop Dogg - Sweat
Benny Benassi - Cinema (Skrillex Remix)
Lil Wayne ft. Eminem - No Love
Styles P ft. Busta Rhymes & Rick Ross - Harsh
Kayne West & Jay Z - "N" words in Paris
Birdman ft. Lil Wayne & Nick Minaj - Y U Mad
Skrillex - Banarang
Skylar Grey - Invisible (Whiiite Remix)
David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On
The Game ft. Lil Wayne - Red Nation
There you go, that's what I'm listening to. If you've heard all the songs already then hear them again because they're all great beats that are guaranteed to get your mojo going!
So in the words of my good friend Red Foo from the band LMFAO;
"Girl look at that body… I-I-I-I work out"
