“Nice plug big guy. Very subtle, barely even noticed it,
really.”
… Shut it Beavis!
The video was about Arnold’s 6 Rules of Success. The rule
that stood out to me the most was “Don’t Be Afraid to Fail”. I think it’s
pretty self-explanatory. No one wants to fail, and to be honest you have to try
pretty hard these days to be deemed a failure. The only people who can obtain
failure, in today’s society it seems, are the ones that give up before their
triumph.
The scary part is that people today are not even worried
about failing because they’re so used to having someone there waiting for them
with a bailout if they don’t make it. I’m just talking about kids from the suburbs;
we’ve got large corporations and global banks getting handed bailouts like
their free toys in a McHappy Meal. As a result, the bailout has become an
expectation to most of us.
“What kind of organic flowers have you been sniffing?”
Dude, it’s no secret. Our generation has literally been given everything. Our grandparents came
from nothing, worked their asses off to leave us inheritances that we blow on
overpriced name brands and $6 cappuccinos. We spend money we don’t have and buy
things we don’t need to impress people we don’t like. It’s not the fear of
failure that is holding our success hostage, it’s our own ignorance and if you
cannot deviate from that line of thought, never mind success, you’ll never know
happiness.
Happiness is not found, it’s made. So stop worrying about
what everyone else think and go make your own. No I’m serious, I mean literally
go right now and start making your life better.

“You are
the masterpiece of your own life; you are the Michelangelo of your experience.”
